“Equipping & Sending women” – will you join me this week?

How will they hear without a preacher, and how will they preach unless they are sent? How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace and the glad tidings of good things!  Romans 10:14-15

Orlando Butterfly Training Thursday 27- Monday 31 March.

In recent weeks I’ve met with some very broken, desperate women – not in India or Asia, but here, in the USA. Reaching for the success defined by Hollywood has left these women insecure, desperate, broken and their lives and the lives of their children in ruins.

 Butterfly Leaders Training and Vision

After a great battle Samson was thirsty, not just thirsty but dying of thirst (Judges 15:17-20). He cried out to God.  God answered Him. He split open the hollow place and water came forth.  Samuel drank.  His spirit returned, and he revived. He went on to judge Israel for 20 more years in the days of the Philistines. Multiplication; butterflies make disciples in North Carolina and India

Dear Partner and Friend,

Last week I shared that I was deeply impacted studying how much God loves multiplication. But how do we do that?  Are you confident about sharing your faith, about ministering to others, about discipling another younger believer?  Most of us, including me, are overwhelmed, perhaps even terrified at the thought. Even if you want to, you may not know where to begin.

God Loves Multiplication

Dear Friend,

Did it ever strike you how much God loves multiplication?

From Genesis 1 and the creation story, through to Noah and Abraham, Moses and the prophets, God is continuously blessing His people and telling them to “be fruitful and multiply” through the male and female of every living thing. Unfortunately, disobedience in every generation caused men and women not to multiply God’s glory but to multiply their own wickedness, continually.  Yet God never gives up on His desire for a people who will worship Him and glorify Him on the earth. Only when God sent Jesus was there hope for God’s people to multiply His glory through the earth as He provided the means through Jesus for hearts to be transformed by His blood and His Spirit living in us to make us into His image.

Butterfly Effect – God’s love transforms in US, Cambodia, Russia and more!

Dear friend,

Have you heard of the “butterfly effect”? In physics, it describes how tiny changes in initial conditions such as the flapping of a butterfly’s wings, can affect weather thousands of miles away.

We are experiencing the butterfly effect! From the US to Cambodia, God’s love is a transforming power. Silently, gently, unseen, our butterflies are impacting the world, creating a hidden tsunami of love and healing!

He Crowns the Year with His Goodness! – LUV End of Year Review

Dear friend and partner in His unveiling His love,

While enjoying time with my family in the UK this Christmas this verse in Psalm 65:11 has been ringing in my heart!

You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance 2013 was a full year – spiritually, emotionally and physically. We experienced mountain tops and spiritual highs, and valleys filled with deep sorrow.  Yet the Lord has crowned our year with His goodness and shown us His paths dripping with abundance.

A Man & Tribe Transformed; Women Boldly Standing for God

How lovely on the mountains are the feet of those who bring Good News, who say, ‘Our God reigns!’…” (Isaiah 52:7)

Sam (name changed) and his village were desperate to know Jesus. They heard about Him but did not receive any written Word of God for 15 years until our leader, Hope, took the LUV discipleship training to Sam who took it to his church last May. Sam made the 12-hour trip from the mountains last week to tell us of the transformation God has done in his church in the last 5 months. His testimony is the story of his tribe searching for Jesus, their persecution and their transformation through His word:

Story of Hope

Hope (name changed) is one of our leaders who completed the three year training this week. Hope is a pastor’s wife in the city, but she and her husband have been travelling to the mountains to reach the ethnic people groups for years.  Hope had a vision to reach the women in the unreached people groups. In the last three years of our training, she started with a group of 38 leaders in her home for 10 days every six months, coming from all over the mountains. Those leaders are now training many groups of 50 women and many groups have men too. This was her commissioning testimony.
