Butterflies Soar Across Asia!

Fall 2011, LUV headed back to Asia to help transform, equip and empower women to be all God wants them to be, setting them free to fly and multiply His glory in all the earth.

A new member of the team attended this round of training and shares her thoughts below:

We have just completed our first three-day training session.  I have been thinking about how I could accurately describe the time and my experiences to you.  My mind keeps going back to Isaiah 61 where Jesus said He came to preach the good news to the poor; to bind up the brokenhearted; to proclaim freedom to the captives; to release from darkness the prisoners; to comfort those who mourn; to provide for those who grieve; and to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes. As God sent Isaiah as His representative; He has also sent Love UnVeiled  to the women of Asia.  Through us God is bestowing a crown of beauty where there has been ashes.

The Butterfly Coordinators who came the first two days, and in addition their Trainers who came today, all made sacrifices to come away and spend time with Jesus.  One of the women traveled five hours this morning on a bike to get here; several of the women had to get special time off work; at least a couple of them over came strong objections from their pastor husbands; all of them had to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner each day before leaving home and making the long journey to the meeting place.  Each of them desperately wanted to spend this time learning more about Jesus and His Word for them.  They are truly hungry for the truth of the Gospel.

Please pray for these women. Often they share things with us for prayer that they can't share with anyone here. Some of those specific requests will be sent to our prayer groups. But please pray for our Coordinators and trainers and their butterflies. They want to learn more and to share the love of Jesus with those around them. That is not easy. There are many obstacles they must overcome--great opposition from families,  even pastor husbands; and spiritual warfare (sickness, deaths, many broken relationships, lost jobs, and heartbreak beyond our conception). The good news is that these Coordinators and Trainers have already taken LUV training to cities and villages we were not aware of. The butterflies are flying and scattering into distant lands quickly.

God is anointing what we are doing in His name. Thanks so much for partnering with us both financially and in prayer.  Continue to pray for us as we go.
